Nottingham Forest fans are divided over the future of manager Philippe Montanier.
The Frenchman, formerly of Real Sociedad and Rennes, was only appointed by Forest in July, but is under increasing pressure after his side lost for the fifth time in seven outings against lowly Blackburn on Tuesday night.
Forest's bright start suggested a promotion challenge could be on the cards this season, however the Reds have won just one of their last nine fixtures without Oliver Burke - sold to Red Bull Leipzig in August.
That win - which arrived in convincing style against fifth-place Birmingham City on Friday - offered brief hope of a turnaround, although many fans appear to have reached the end of their tether after last night.
With a £50 million takeover thought to be close, Montanier's future at the City Ground looks especially bleak and few, it seems, would be surprised to see him depart in the coming weeks.
Here's what the fans are saying on Twitter.
We're a match for anyone at home but sadly just dire away. Montanier has had over 2 months to sort the defence & away form - no excuse#nffc— (((AJ))) (@Lad87Red) October 19, 2016
Whatever #nffc fans think of Dougie, least the defence was generally good. Montanier has no excuse for this shambolic defending— (((AJ))) (@Lad87Red) October 18, 2016
@NFFC Thanks for nothing Forest. Kamikaze defending costs us again. Bye bye montanier— Eighth Wonder (@73Antw) October 18, 2016
Phillipe Montanier ruined my birthday— John Haslam (@JohnKHaslam) October 18, 2016
Montanier doesn't have a clue of the league and it's showing. Away form is dire #nffc— The jock (@VitalJockNffc) October 18, 2016
Montanier seems a nice guy, but we don't need that. We need someone ruthless. Get rid of deadwood. #nffc— #FAWAZOUT (@CharlieAllen__) October 18, 2016
Been saying montanier has ruined probably one of our best features from last season, our defence all season. Think his time is up #nffc— ian fisher (@ianfisher85) October 18, 2016
Montanier hasn't improved us one bit— Max Cunningham (@MaxCnffc) October 18, 2016
Some, however, aren't quite there...
Montanier a good manager, #nffc just a shambles. The managers hands are tied, dunno what some folk expect— Luke (@lukeyboy1865) October 19, 2016
Everyone loving Montanier on Friday, then one bad half tonight and there's talk of him going again... worst fans in football #nffc— Isaac Johnson (@IsaacJohnson95) October 18, 2016
Sounds like Blackburn was bad, but its not going to happen overnight, still need to support Montanier and the lads, ignore off field #nffc— The English Klose (@chriscomben) October 18, 2016
Nottingham Forest's next appointment will be their seventh since owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi assumed control of the club in July 2012.
