The Leeds United loanee found the net for the League One side yesterday.
Watford's Jose Holebas in action with Leeds United's Lee Erwin
Leeds United took on Wigan Athletic last night at Elland Road. Unfortunately, the result did not end up going their way. Leeds could only manage a 1-1 draw after Shaun MacDonald equalised late on in the Championship clash.
Meanwhile, a Leeds United player currently on loan at another Lactics side was hitting the back of the net.
Leeds sent Lee Erwin out on loan to Oldham Athletic this summer in order to play regular first-team football, stay in shape and hopefully impress the staff at Elland Road.
It has been a slog at Boundary Park for the player so far but he has been finding the net.
Brighton's Lewis Dunk and Leeds' Lee Erwin in action
Last night’s goal was trademark Erwin, cutting in from the left to curl the ball into the far post with his stronger right foot.
The goal helped Oldham pick up an impressive win against League One’s early pace setters Scunthorpe United and Erwin’s goal was his third in 17 appearances for the club this season.
He has however hardly been prolific and for all his hard work still looks a limited player.
The Championship may be a level above Erwin and despite the pleasure from both Leeds and Oldham fans with his performance last night, a long-term future at Elland Road still looks in doubt…
@LeeErwin19 Nice to see Erwin getting a goal tonight for Oldham, hopefully get to see more him at Leeds.— Harry Shillito (@shillito_harry) October 18, 2016
Lovely finish from Erwin. Takes ball down left, feints inside onto right foot and shapes perfectly inside far post. #oafc— Matt Chambers (@Matt_Chambers_) October 18, 2016
Brilliant that tonight. Erwin and Flynn stand outs for me but no complaints about anyone #oafc— Tom Butterworth (@tom_db) October 18, 2016
Erwin having a tremendous game. Winny fading after good first half. Reckord best game too. Flynn poor tho. Never pressures the ball #oafc— Ross Coyne (@boundaryblue) October 18, 2016
Erwin sent that defender too the shops then some say he's still sliding #oafc— Jack Adams (@Jackadams_93) October 18, 2016
