Eastleigh boss Ronnie Moore has suggested that while Birmingham and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Luke Coulson is destined to play at a much higher level, the National League side are still awaiting a concrete bid for the midfielder, the Birmingham Mail reports.

The Birmingham Mail reports that the Championship pair have been alerted to the 22-year-old after he made a brilliant start to the new season.

But the Spitfires boss has suggested that the pair's reported interest is yet to move to that next level as they still have not been contacted about the player.

"It doesn't help when you read things like that. No one's come in and said here's money on the table for Luke," he said, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.

"Like I've said before, he could play at a higher level, it's just a case of how high. If he continues as he is, it’s just a matter of time.

"But no one's come in for Luke and the chairman has not stopped him going anywhere."

It is hardly surprising that Coulson is attracting interest from a significantly higher level. The former Oxford City man has scored six times in his five league outings to help Moore's men keep in touch with the play-off places in the fifth tier.

And if the former Manchester City trainee can continue to score bags of goals from midfield over the coming months, it may not be too long before the non-league side are fielding numerous calls about the young midfielder's future.
