Leeds United’s under-23s were left downhearted last night after they were put to the sword by Hull City’s under 23 side.

Leeds, who had the likes of Gaetano Berardi, Toumani Diagouraga and Souleymane Doukara in the starting line-up, would have been disappointed with the scoreline.

But there was one name in the Leeds line-up that should cause some excitement among the Leeds United faithful.

In goal for the Leeds side was 17-year-old Will Huffer.

With Bailey Peacock-Farrell currently injured Huffer was given his chance to impress. Conceding four goals was probably not his idea of a successful performance but he certainly is st4ill a player to keep an eye on.

Huffer is not only now an under-23 player with Leeds at just 17 but he has also played for England under-17s and the England under-18s – so is clearly a talent worth keeping an eye on for the future at Leeds United.

Leeds have produced some very talented goalkeepers in recent years – with Paul Robinson and Scott Carson both going on to become full England internationals.

With Peacock-Farell and Huffer both coming through it seems that tradition could continue at Elland Road.
