With current England boss Sam Allardyce under serious scrutiny for his conduct during an undercover Telegraph investigation, the job could become available sooner than expected and bookies have already started pricing up his potential successors.

Allardyce has been in charge for just one game since taking over from Roy Hodgson after a disastrous Euro 2016 campaign but video footage has emerged that could call his position into question, with The Sun reporting he has told friends he fears he will be sacked.

And never ones for sentimentality, bookmakers have already put together the list of men who could fill his place should the role open up in the next few days.

Sky Bet has Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew as the favourite with former Hull manager Steve Bruce as second.

Here's the full list:

  • Alan Pardew 4/1
  • Steve Bruce 6/1
