The youngster is nearing a return at Anfield after a long injury lay-off.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has told the club’s official website that everyone at Anfield is excited about Joe Gomez’s future at the club.
The youngster arrived on Merseyside last summer as Brendan Rodgers brought him in from Charlton Athletic.
He made an impressive start to his life with the Reds, putting in several impressive performances despite his side’s early season struggles.
Unfortunately for the 19-year-old he was ruled out for nearly all of last season, though, after picking up anterior cruciate ligament damage in training.

He is currently nearing a return from that injury and Henderson says they cannot wait to see him develop at the club.
“All the lads can’t wait to see him [Gomez] back in the main sessions,” he told the club’s official website.
“We’re all buzzing to see him outside and working hard with the fitness coaches. Joe is someone we’re all excited about in terms of his future here. He’s got everything!”

It remains to be seen if Gomez does have a future in the Liverpool first team under Jurgen Klopp.
It is easy to imagine that he will, with the Reds defence having failed to impress so far this season.
They have already conceded nine goals in their first six games, the joint worst record of all the teams in the top ten at this stage.
That means there could be places up for grabs and he will be hoping to take advantage one he returns to full fitness.
