According to The Sun, Christian Fuchs’ future at Leicester City is in doubt after the defender was seemingly offered less than he was expecting on a new contract offer.

The report claims that Fuchs has been left a frustrated figure after seeing a number of teammates receive improved offers in the summer and he could be open to leaving in the January transfer window.

The Austrian international joined the Foxes from Schalke on a three-year deal in the summer of 2015, and he soon became a key first-team member playing 32 Premier League matches last term.

In an astonishing season where Leicester won the title against the odds, Fuchs became the first Austrian to become a Premier League winner since Arsenal’s Alex Manninger in 1998.

However, as a number of players such as Jamie Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel and Danny Simpson earned new deals with handsome raises, Fuchs was only offered a small rise.

The Sun say he could look to leave should he not be offered better terms, and a switch to a fellow Premier League side as early as this January hasn’t been ruled out.

The 30-year-old has started all five of Leicester’s Premier League games this season, and he played 90 minutes in the recent 3-0 Champions League win over Club Bruges in Belgium.
