These are heady days at the John Smith's Stadium and Huddersfield Town fans are loving every minute of their early season surge.

Huddersfield Town's fine start to the Championship season continued on Saturday as they defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-1 to stay top of the table after the opening eight games.

Headers from Kasey Palmer and Elias Kachunga put Town in the ascendancy and the hosts held on despite the nervy finish brought about by Idrissa Sylla's goal 14 minutes from time.

David Wagner's side have now won six and drawn one of their opening eight matches to sit two points clear of Norwich City at the top of the second tier, and Terriers supporters are relishing watching their team at the moment. Many of them took to Twitter to express their delight following Town's latest success.

These are undoubtedly exciting times in West Yorkshire, with crowds up drastically since last season thanks to a price cut in season tickets and the team responding with consistently excellent performances.

It is still early days, of course, but momentum is important in the Championship and at the moment it is Huddersfield who have it.

The Terriers travel to Reading next weekend looking to continue their fine form and Town fans are likely to spend the week pinching themselves at what they are seeing from their team at this moment in time as the 'Wagner Revolution' rumbles on.
