Everton were certainly catching the eye on transfer deadline day. But whilst many were distracted by their failed attempt to bring in Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United they also loaned out one of their top prospects.

Shani Tarashaj was loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga as it became clear he would not be playing regular football at Everton this season.

However, the Swiss international only started training with the club yesterday.

The player has been struggling with a bout of benign angina, according to Bild.

But he is now fit and ready and just hoping to play regularly at the German club this season.

He is quoted by Hessenschau as stating:

"The number ten is my favourite position, but I can play in midfield everywhere.

"I completed the entire preparation at Everton and I am now fully fit. I'm young and I want to play as much as possible.

“I'm fit again, I feel better. Everything else is decision of the coach."

The 21-year-old joined Everton in the January transfer window but was immediately loaned out to his former club Grasshoppers for the rest of the season. The attacking midfielder is therefore still waiting to make his official debut for Everton.

He will no doubt fear that the change of management at Everton may impact his long-term ambitions at the club.

But if he can impress during his stint at Eintracht Frankfurt perhaps a future under Ronald Koeman is on the cards.
