The Leeds gaffer has been linked with the sack at Elland Road already.
Garry Monk manager of Leeds United
Leeds United won their first home game in the Championship under Garry Monk this week, defeating Blackburn Rovers 2-1 thanks to goals from Kyle Bartley and Chris Wood.
The result was a big boost for the Leeds boss, who has already seen his name linked with the sack.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is notoriously impatient, just ask Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic or Uwe Rosler, and is known for sacking managers for less than Monk’s poor start to life at Leeds.

But speaking to his press conference today the Leeds United boss made it clear, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, that he has the support of Cellino and is committed to the club until the end of the season:
“It’s nothing to me, it means nothing to me. You can’t control things being said.
“I have signed a one-year contract, that’s my commitment to the club and the club’s commitment to me. It’s about is it working and I think it is. I think we are progressing.
“The owner is very supportive. We speak regularly. We are moving forward and we are progressing.
“You just control what you can control and make sure you are ready. We did that on Tuesday night.”

Leeds fans will not be taking these comments too seriously.
The club’s supporters have enough experience of the maverick Italian Cellino now to understand that he could easily lose patience with Monk in a matter of days and the former Swansea boss will be out of the door.
Leeds and Monk will now be hoping for a positive result against Cardiff City this weekend to keep the wolves at bay for another week.
