Sheffield Wednesday ace makes a generous donation.
Sheffield Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri has donated £10,000 to help a mum-of-four seek a life-saving cancer treatment.
The donation came after Hayley Kalinins, wife of the club’s fitness coach Andy, was told by medics in the UK that there were no more treatment options for her secondary breast cancer, despite already enduring 70 rounds of chemotherapy.
Hayley is now seeking immunotherapy at a private specialist cancer clinic in Germany.

The treatment aims to boost the body’s natural defences to fight the cancer but, after raising £150,000, she still needs a further £100,000 to finish the course.
Hayley reported via her Facebook page that the first scan revealed a “significant decrease” in the size of the tumours after just eight weeks of treatment.
She is now hoping to raise funds to receive further treatment every three weeks in a bid to overcome her illness, adding: “We are really confidant these treatments are working and are going to work in the future but unfortunately it all comes down to money.”
Hayley took to twitter to thank Forestieri for his donation saying: “What an incredible man helping to extend my life.”
Derby County FC have also agreed to hold a bucket collection at their home game against Liverpool next Tuesday to help Hayley, who lives in Derby, reach her fundraising target.
