Aston Villa are currently in 18th place in the Championship table.

Steve Sidwell has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 14th September, that Aston Villa’s form at Villa Park will be key to their promotion push.
Villa are desperate to bounce straight back from last season’s relegation, even though they have not started the campaign in good form.
The Claret and Blues have won just one of their first six matches, and Sidwell believes that his former side need to transform their results in front of their own supporters if they are to start climbing the table.

“We spoke last year that the players that they bring in have to have the right quality and mentality,” Sidwell said.
“The key will be their home form. They are leaking goals [currently]. They are obviously going to want to go back to the Premier League as quickly as they can, but they are going to need to get to grips with the Championship as it’s relentless.”
Villa have shown signs of promise, particularly going forward, but they have failed to convert their dominance into victories.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side have shown a weakness defensively, and they have regularly been punished.

In their latest outing, Villa were the better side for much of the game – but they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Villa are next in action later tonight against a Brentford side, who have started the season in good form, and currently sit just outside just outside the play off places.
