The Leeds United goalkeeper has been on social media today.

Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri has taken to Twitter to dismiss claims he was responsible for liking an article claiming Whites boss Garry Monk could still be sacked despite the 2-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers earlier this week.
Silvestri has made just one appearance for Leeds since Monk took charge and that was in the EFL Cup against Luton Town last month.
Aside from that he has had to make do with a place on the substitutes’ bench for the last four Championship matches, having been overlooked altogether for the first three games of the campaign.

Leeds’ victory against Blackburn was much needed and lifted them out of the bottom three, but Silvestri’s Twitter account allegedly showed an article from the Times about Monk’s uncertain future had been liked.
That has since been removed and the player has gone on to comment on social media, claiming the earlier ‘like’ was nothing to do with him.

“It’s absolutely fake,” the Leeds stopper wrote. “I didn’t liked (sic) nothing at all. I don’t use Twitter so please stop it.”
With Rob Green the current number one at Elland Road it remains to be seen how many more chances Silvestri will get in the months ahead, with the EFL Cup potentially his only real chance of adding to his 93 appearances for the club to date.
