The Leeds United youngster continues to impress at under-23 level.

Leeds United’s under-23s drew 1-1 with their Charlton Athletic counterparts on Monday afternoon, with 19-year-old Frank Mulhern continuing his fine form with the Whites’ strike.
The teenager’s 83rd-minute effort looked like sealing the victory for Leeds’ youngsters but Charlton had other ideas, levelling just two minutes later and holding out for the drawer.

Despite that disappointment, Mulhern can be happy with his contribution, netting his third goal in three matches at under-23 level this season to prove he is one to watch in the academy set-up.
In truth Leeds fans have known that for some time and if the young Irishman continues like this it will only be a matter of time before he makes his first-team debut.

Whites manager Garry Monk has proved he is not afraid to give youth a chance; the question is, will he still be around to blood Mulhern if he does not stop the slide at senior level in the coming weeks?
While Leed’s senior strikers continue to struggle in front of goal, Mulhern is on the kind of run that has seen many before him make it further than they can have envisaged in no time at all. He could even be an unlikely saviour for the former Swansea City boss if fate intervenes.
