Leeds United brought the young player to the club this summer.

Leeds United had a busy summer, bringing in a whole host of new players, but one who may have slipped under the radar is 20-year-old Billy Whitehouse.

The youngster signed a one-year deal at Elland Road after moving from Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee, and for now he will continue his development in the Whites’ under-23 side.

But if he continues to perform as he did for the club against their Crewe Alexandra counterparts on Friday, it may not be long before he is knocking on the door of first-team manager Garry Monk.

The former Swansea City boss has already showed he is not afraid to give youth a chance, promoting Ronaldo Vieira and Tyler Denton with both impressing in the process.

And he is only going to have received positive reports from Whitehouse’s outing last week, with the 20-year-old playing at right-back and bombing forward time and again to set up attacks for his young Leeds teammates.

Whitehouse already has experience of first-team football after turning out 11 times for Doncaster, and he will not want it to be too long before he is turning out for Leeds and attempting to build on that initial short-term deal.
