Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Southampton playmaker Dusan Tadic top the Premier League charts for most chances created via key passes so far this season.

Southampton have endured another summer of change at St. Mary’s, what with Ronald Koeman leaving for Everton and star players such as Sadio Mane, Graziano Pelle and Victor Wanyama also departing.

Claude Puel has been named the club’s new manager, and one other positive for the Saints this summer is that they managed to keep hold of influential attacking midfielder Tadic.

The Saints have not begun the season too well, however, picking up just two points from their opening three matches.

Despite that, Serbian ace Tadic has been a key performer for his side and after three matches and 247 minutes played he has created as many as 10 chances for his teammates, a figure which is among the league’s best.

As shown by the table provided by Opta, no player has created more chances than Tadic, though Swansea’s Wayne Routledge and Liverpool’s Brazilian attacker Firmino have also posted double figures.

The Reds have begun their campaign with three away games – beating Arsenal 4-3 on the opening day of the season, before losing 2-0 at Burnley and then picking up a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

In each game the visitors have looked dangerous and got themselves into decent positions, with Philippe Coutinho and his Brazilian teammate Firmino leading the way for Liverpool.

Firmino endured a slow start to his Liverpool career, but now under boss Jurgen Klopp he is beginning to show signs of his best form and so far this season he has performed to a superb standard.
