The Premier League side are clearly working hard to bolster their attacking options.
Lorient’s Majeed Waris
Crystal Palace plan to follow up the loan capture of Chelsea star Loic Remy by making a £10m move for Lorient striker Majeed Waris, the Daily Mirror reports.
The Eagles have already signed Christian Benteke during this window, and now appear to be closing in on bringing in the Frenchman from the Blues, the Mirror claims.

However, with their strikers’ struggles in front of goal last season still firmly in his mind – their highest scoring centre-forward finished with five goals in the Premier League – Alan Pardew appears keen to bolster his options even further by making a move for Waris, according to the Mirror.
The Ghana international’s 11 goals in 21 games proved crucial in helping the Ligue 1 side finish well clear of the relegation zone.

As well as being able to play as a striker, Waris is capable of playing out on the wing, which could be crucial to Palace following Yannick Bolasie’s summer switch to Everton.
And with Lorient making a poor start to the new season – they have lost their first three games and find themselves second-bottom – Waris may look at the strike-force that Pardew is putting together – should Remy complete his loan move – and feel that a switch to Selhurst Park is a great move for his career.
