According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United have turned down an offer from West Bromwich Albion for midfielder Moussa Sissoko while Crystal Palace and Everton prepare late bids.
The report claims the Baggies offer was deemed derisory while the Toffees and Palace are looking to make bids within days of the transfer deadline as the duo seek a potential cut-price deal.
Following Newcastle’s relegation from the Premier League last season, Sissoko was widely regarded as one of the most likely to leave the club after the European Championships in France.

Players such as Andros Townsend and Georginio Wijnaldum have earned moves back to the top-flight, yet thus far Newcastle’s valuation of Sissoko has seemingly priced suitors out of a move.
The Magpies are said to want as much as £30 million for the France international, as reported in the Telegragh, yet as of now no club is willing to match such a hefty fee.
West Brom have barely done any business this summer, and Tony Pulis has spoken of his desire to bring in at least a few more players ahead of Wednesday’s deadline.

However, moving for Sissoko could be deemed as an ambitious move by the Baggies, and it remains to be seen whether they follow up their initial bid after it was seen as well below Newcastle’s valuation.
Everton and Palace are still in the market for new players, and the latter in particualr have a void to fill after star player Yannick Bolasie opted to trade Selhurst Park for Goodison Park last week.
The duo are said to be hoping to seal a cut-price deal for Sissoko with the transer deadline just around the corner, though Newcastle hold all the cards with the player still having three years on his current deal.
