Leeds United have lost in the Championship this afternoon, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
It was a poor performance defensively that cost Leeds, especially from set-pieces once again.
The defenders failed to deal with Forest’s corners throughout the game with goals from Pajtim Kasami and Damien Perquis both coming from set-pieces.

Speaking immediately after the game former Leeds United striker and BBC Radio Leeds pundit Noel Whelan spoke about the defending from the club’s defenders – with disappointment surrounding the performance of Liam Cooper:
“Bartley for me has been the better of the defenders from the start of the season.
“I like Liam Cooper. I think he is the most improved centre-half that we have at this time. There are so many good sides to his game but today he has let himself down.
“It’s just too easy. It’s too easy.”
Leeds have recently signed Swedish international Pontus Jansson on loan from Torino whilst club captain Sol Bamba waits in the wings, although he himself is out of form.
Leeds need to sort out their defending from set-pieces as this game now makes it five goals conceded from such situations this term.
Whether Jansson is set to be the man who can do that remains to be seen. But if Leeds are to have any chance of fighting for Premier League promotion, they need to sort out their defending from set-piece situations.
