The agent of Achraf Lazaar has reportedly met up with Palermo to discuss the immediate future of the defender.

According to reports from Tutto Mercato, the agent of Achraf Lazaar has met up with the Sporting Director of Palermo, Daniele Faggiano, to discuss the immediate future of the left-back amid interest from Newcastle United.
Lazaar was one of the most consistent full-backs in the Italian Serie A last season and as a result, it has been no surprise to see the 24-year-old being courted by a host of clubs across Europe.

While Palermo would ideally want to keep hold of the services of Lazaar, they look set to be forced into selling the defender this summer as he has not signed an extension to his contract which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
West Ham United were being mentioned as the team most likely to sign Lazaar (The Sun) but with the Hammers recruiting Arthur Masuaku instead, the Moroccan international has been linked with other clubs over the past few days.

Recently, the Chronicle went on to claim that Newcastle United are interested in recruiting Lazaar and that the Championship side had already established talks with Palermo over the signing of the defender.
In what is seemingly a boost to Newcastle’s hopes of landing the services of Lazaar, Tutto Mercato have now gone on to claim that the full-back’s agent has held talks with the Sporting Director of Palermo, Daniele Faggiano, over a potential transfer.
It is also being claimed that Lazaar wants a move away from the Stadio Renzo Barbera and a switch to St. James’ Park coming into fruition in the coming days remains well within the realms of possibility.
