Southampton and Crystal Palace have reportedly both established contact over the signing of Achraf Lazaar.

According to reports from Tutto Mercato, Premier League duo Southampton and Crystal Palace are both in negotiations with Palermo over the signing of Achraf Lazaar.
Lazaar was arguably one of the most consistent full-backs in the Italian Serie A last season and as a result, it has been no surprise to see the 24-year-old attracting the interest from a number of top clubs across Europe during the summer.

As an encouragement for interested clubs, Lazaar has entered the final year of his contract at Palermo and the club seemingly expect to lose the defender this summer after omitting him from the squad for the opening Serie A game against Sassuolo during the weekend.
It had been widely reported that West Ham United were in pole position to secure the services of Lazaar (The Sun) but the move is now unlikely to be coming into fruition as the Hammers have signed Arthur Masuaku recently.

Nonetheless, Lazaar remains in the radar of a number of English teams and now according to reports from Tutto Mercato, the Premier League duo of Southampton and Crystal Palace are ramping up their pursuit to sign the Moroccan international.
The report reveals that both Southampton and Palace have established contacts with Palermo over the prospective signing of Lazaar and that the Italian Serie A side are currently evaluating the offers on the table.
