According to The Mirror, Leicester City are to turn their attentiosn to Dynamo Kiev defender Aleksandar Dragovic after failing in their pursuit of Burnley’s Michael Keane.

The report claims that the Foxes have seen a £15 million bid for Keane rejected and with the Clarets intent on holding on to their star defender, Claudio Ranieri will now turn to Dragovic.

Leicester have been keen on adding to their defensive ranks all summer with boss Ranieri looking to add competition to Roberto Huth and Wes Morgan who are both in their thirties.

Luis Hernandez arrived at the King Power Stadium as a free transfer from Sporting Gijon, yet Burnley’s star defender Keane was identified as the club’s top defensive target of the summer.

The failure to land the former Manchester United man has seen Dragovic now identified as the club’s new target, though so close to the transfer deadline any potential deal may not be so straightforward.

The 25-year-old arrived at Kiev from Swiss champions Basel in 2013, and last season was arguably his best for the Ukraine side has he played a key role in the club’s superb Champions League campaign.

Dragovic, an Austrian international, has helped Kiev win back-to-back league titles and he may now feel he is ready for a big move to one of Western Europe’s leading top-flights.

The report goes on to say that Ranieri is ready to ask about the availability of the defender as Leicester look to add one more in their bid to retain the Premier League title.
