Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp
Manager Jurgen Klopp did most of his business fairly early, snapping up the likes of Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane in plenty of time the for the start of the season, but he may yet delve back in to the transfer market.
With just ten days to go until the transfer window slams shut, Liverpool are still being linked with players – and Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Reds are keen on Roma starlet Leandro Paredes.
Paredes, 22, is a former Boca Juniors youngster who spent last season on loan at Empoli, where he hit two goals and one assist in 34 Serie A appearances.
Now back at the Stadio Olimpico, Paredes is seen as a player who can help fill the void left by star midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who left Roma for Juventus earlier this summer.
Leandro Paredes celebrates with Miralem Pjanic
The Argentinian is highly regarded in the Italian capital, and it's now claimed that Liverpool want to buy him before the transfer window closes, as do Premier League rivals Leicester City.
However, having already lost Pjanic, Roma are unsurprisingly reluctant to let Paredes leave, and are ready to resists any interest from Liverpool, Leicester or even AC Milan in a bid to keep the playmaker in the Eternal City.
