The Swiss international has barely featured for the Foxes.

Leicester City were heavily praised for their recruitment process last summer. N’Golo Kante, Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs in particular proved to be shrewd additions from the club, and they went on to win the Premier League title.

But not all their new signings were successful.

Yohan Benalouane and Gokhan Inler for example barely got a look in and the latter may now be on his way to French football – according to reports.

Swiss paper Blick is reporting, as relayed by FootSur7, that Inler is now a transfer target for Ligue 1 side Marseille.

The report claims that Leicester would be willing to sell the Swiss international for a fee of €4.5 million (£3.9 million) as Marseille fret over the future of their midfielder Lassana Diarra.

Inler played just five games in the Premier League for the Foxes last season and looks set to be just as far down the pecking order this term.

Cashing in on the 32-year-old would appear to be a wise move from Leicester as they look to ensure they keep their wage-bill manageable despite their new-found success.
