Paul McGrath has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Aston Villa’s draw with Derby County on Saturday evening.

Roberto Di Matteo’s side failed to return to winning ways in the Championship, as they played out a goalless draw with Derby away from home at the iPro Stadium.

Former Villa defender McGrath was following the match, and he was happy with the final result.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the iPro Stadium on Saturday evening, hosts Derby had 50% of the possession, took 11 shots of which only two were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Villa had 50% of the possession, took nine shots of which four were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.

The Villans are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with five points from four matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Queens Park Rangers.

Di Matteo’s side will return to action next weekend when they take on Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship.
