Queens Park Rangers have made an impressive start to their Championship campaign, despite their last-minute loss to Barnsley on Wednesday night, and currently sit amongst the play-off places.

With under two weeks remaining until the transfer window slams shut, it will be vitally important that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink makes the necessary additions to strengthen his options ahead of the demanding Championship season that faces his side.

QPR should consider a move for Tottenham's fringe player Nabil Bentaleb.

The 21-year-old Algerian has failed to establish himself in the Spurs first-team after initially impressing during Tim Sherwood's reign at White Hart Lane.

Whilst the West London outfit have a decent midfield on paper, they do lack a controlled passer in the middle of the park who can dictate the tempo of a game, especially after the exit of long-term servant Alejandro Faurlin.

Bentaleb would slot into the Rangers' midfield seamlessly, and would instantly help elevate their performances with his intelligent use of the ball, and composure in possession.

His dynamic style is supported by terrific levels of fitness and stamina, which would prove vital in a league with the intensity of the Championship.

With the wealth of midfield talent at Mauricio Pochettino's disposal, it is unlikely that the Algerian international will get the opportunity to play regular first-team football, so a move away from White Hart Lane would be one that would suit all parties involved.

A move to Loftus Road would provide Bentaleb with the platform from which he could re-launch his career, and develop into one of the league's best midfield players.
