A report in Spain today is suggesting that Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez is all set for his move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The report from Diario La Grada claims that the talented young stopper has unpacked his locker at Espanyol and said his goodbyes to team-mates as he prepares to make a loan move to Spurs in the coming days.

The report claims that Spurs will pay €600,000 for his loan deal, with a purchase option of €7 million.

Of course this has been contested by Marca. They reported this morning that Espanyol are holding out for a better offer, but still expect a deal to be done.

Sport reported earlier this month that Tottenham had bid around £1.7 million for the Espanyol player but that the Spanish side are holding out for a fee of £4.2 million for the talented stopper.

However, the Daily Mail then reported that Spurs had not made an approach to sign the player but confirmed manager Mauricio Pochettino is a fan.

An injury to number one goalkeeper Hugo Lloris appears to have accelerated the interest from White Hart Lane and it appears Lopez is on his way.
