Nottingham Forest supporters have reacted with bemusement to suggestions Wolves could sign star striker Britt Assombalonga.

Wolves are listed as 8/1 with SkyBet to sign the goalscorer, just third favourites behind only Sunderland and Norwich City.

Yet Forest are not intent on selling the 23-year-old, who sat out the majority of last season with a serious knee injury.

Wolves have money available to spend after their recent takeover, and SkySports reported last week that they had a £5 million offer rejected for Derby County striker Chris Martin.

They are evidently looking to add a new frontman to lead the line, and Assombalonga is one of the best in the Championship, but it would take a big fee to get him, with the Daily Mail reporting Forest rejected a £7 million bid from Forest last month.

While Wolves supporters are understandably keen on signing Assombalonga...

...Forest fans are convinced there is zero chance of a deal happening which would see the striker transfer to Wolves.
