Leeds United manager Garry Monk
Leeds United fans have had plenty of reason to be excited this summer. The appointment of Garry Monk as manager looks to be a good piece of business by the club and they have made some great moves in the transfer market.
Teething problems were to be expected however. Leeds have struggled early on this season. The Yorkshire club have claimed just one point from their opening three Championship fixtures, courtesy of a late goal from Chris Wood v Fulham in midweek.

But Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino is not one to suffer teething problems – he would sooner extract the tooth.
The Mirror reported yesterday that the Italian is already considering sacking Monk, who is only on a one-year deal at the club, just four games into his Leeds career.

It would be yet another sacking from the Leeds owner – joining the likes of Brian McDermott, Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler and Steve Evans on the Cellino scrapheap.

Leeds fans have reacted with predictable vociferation on Twitter, with many suggesting Monk’s sacking would be the final straw regarding supporting their beloved Leeds whilst Cellino is in charge.
Monk will need to ensure Leeds defeat Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday this weekend…
If the unstable idiot Cellino sacks Monk the FL have to step in and stop it MOT— Andy Gott (@gottlegend) August 18, 2016
As backwards as Cellino is, these rumours about Monk getting the sack can't true, surely?— Dan Morgan (@mogss8) August 19, 2016
I can't help but refer back to the fact that Monk is only on a one year deal and that he wasn't Cellino's first choice. #lufc— Nathan Brien (@nath_brien) August 19, 2016
If Cellino gets rid of Monk now, I literally wouldn't care to see another game while he's owner. He's already made me slightly uninterested— Lee Holdsworth (@jeeblufc) August 19, 2016
Cellino already undermining Garry Monk? This is exactly why he needs to sell. Never gives this club a chance. It's the "same Ol" every year.— Peter Dickinson (@pete_dicko) August 19, 2016
I hope monk gets results from these next three games just to keep that clown Cellino quite— Harry (@Harryisbeast44) August 18, 2016
If Cellino sacks Monk, i honestly wont go again whilst he owns us. Its heartbreaking what he is doing to our club!— Gareth Smith (@Gazsmith13) August 18, 2016
