Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told the club’s official website that he has been pleased with the impact that Vincent Janssen has made on the team so far.

Janssen joined Tottenham from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Spurs had to pay AZ a transfer fee of £18.5 million in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old striker.

The Netherlands international made his competitive debut for the North London outfit last weekend.

Janssen came on as a substitute in the 56th minute of the Premier League game against Merseyside outfit Everton away from home at Goodison Park.

Tottenham manager Pochettino was impressed with the performance of the forward against Everton in a match which ended in a 1-1 draw.

“Vincent was perfect and helped the team to find the way to try to score and win the game,” Pochettino told Tottenham’s official website regarding Janssen’s impact.

“The impact was fantastic for the team. I’m happy for him, it’s his first season here, he’s very young, still adapting to the Premier League and our philosophy but we’re very happy with him.”

Tottenham will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

Pochettino’s side will head into the match as favourites and should be able to pick up all three points against their London rivals with relative ease.
