The French youngster has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs.

It has been one of the summer’s greatest transfer sagas, as Tottenham Hotspur look to bring in Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Marseille.

Now the Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has again commented on the transfer, but refused to be drawn into tittle-tattle once again.

The Argentine was speaking at a press conference yesterday when he is quoted by Foot Mercato as stating:

"Nkoudou? It's a rumor, and you know I do not like talking about rumors.

“There are many at this time for different clubs, not just for us.

“I have told you last week, we hope to sign two or three players. Maybe we recruit, maybe not.”

Of course N’Koudou’s deal is much more than just a rumour – considering the French under-21 international has spent the past month waiting in a London hotel for the deal to go through.

Sky Sports reported this week that Tottenham’s move to sign N’Koudou was back on.

The transfer of the Marseille winger has been long protracted with both clubs seemingly falling out over the difficulty of getting a deal over the line.

Cameroonian winger Clinton N’Jie will be heading in the other direction as part of any deal for the French under-21 international.

Le Phoceen originally reported that Tottenham’s offer was to buy N’Koudou for a fee in the region of €13 million (£11.1 million) – but it has been claimed Daniel Levy and Spurs tried to renegotiate that price at the last minute. Meanwhile, the change of ownership structure at Marseille has also not helped the deal.

Hopefully a deal can be done as soon as possible, to put the player, the fans and the clubs out of their misery.
