And the South African rejoins David Moyes at the Stadium of Light, playing under him for the third time in his career as he looks to end his Premier League adventure on a high note.

Pienaar will be best remembered for forming a killer partnership with left-back Leighton Baines on Merseyside which saw the duo wreak havoc for Everton on a regular basis.
But constant injuries started to take their toll on the winger who found appearances hard to come by following Moyes' departure to Manchester United and under Roberto Martinez found his days at Everton to be numbered.
After just six appearances last season, Pienaar follows fellow servants Tony Hibbert and Leon Osman out the door, but the reaction from Everton fans on Twitter is one of appreciation of his nine-year service to the club, wishing him good luck on Wearside.
