Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment and is one of the best in his position in the Scottish Premiership.
However, the 33-year-old Scotland international’s recent performances have not been great.
Celtic recently signed Dorus de Vries from Nottingham Forest, and the 35-year-old goalkeeper is expected to provide Gordon with stiff competition for a place in the starting lineup.

De Vries had a good season on a personal level for Forest during the 2015-16 campaign, keeping 11 clean sheets in 43 Championship matches for the Reds.
Gordon has suggested that competing with the former Swansea City goalkeeper is going to make him a better player.
The former Heart of Midlothian and Sunderland goalkeeper, though, has made it clear that he wants to remain as the first choice between the posts for the Scottish Premiership giants this season.

“I think we can work well together in training to push each other. But there is only one place at the end of the week for each game.
“I hope that it’s me and I can continue to play in this team this season, because it looks like a very exciting team to play in. And one that I’d love to continue playing with.”
During the 2014-15 season, De Vries made just four Championship appearances for the Reds.
Back in the 2013-14 campaign, the Dutchman kept one clean sheet in three league matches for Forest.
