Joey Barton of Rangers
Former Newcastle United midfielder Barton, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Burnley at the end of last season, made the comments on talkSPORT on Wednesday.
"The places he goes and the places I go probably differ with the tan and the teeth,” the Englishman told talkSPORT when asked whether he had bumped into Celtic boss Rodgers in Glasgow. “They’re not the kind of establishments I rock up at. I'm not having a mid-life crisis!”
Rangers manager Warburton has played down those comments from Barton, claiming that they were made in jest.

"I'm sure you know, as I do, that it was a tongue-in-cheek banter-type comment,” Warburton told Sky Sports. “There was no malice, there was no disrespect from Joey.”
Rangers have made a strong start to the 2016-17 Scottish Premiership campaign.
The Gers kicked off their league season with a 1-1 draw with Hamilton Academical at Ibrox before getting the better of Dundee 2-1 away from home.
