Blackburn Rovers' miserable start to the season continued last night as they lost their third straight Championship game.

Owen Coyle's side remain at the bottom of the table, although this defeat to Cardiff City was more unfortunate than their previous two games.

Shane Duffy scored two own goals in the 2-1 loss, and was sent off in stoppage time - surely the worst game of his career.

Former Blackburn player Micky Gray was looking at the bigger picture, reacting on Twitter to the loss, calling for change at Ewood Park.

He urged club owners the Venkys to sell up - and stated he wants to see ex-Rovers teammate Matt Jansen as boss.

Jansen, 38, currently works as manager for non-league Chorley, taking over in 2015 from another ex Blackburn player, Garry Flitcroft.

While his credentials are unproven at a higher level, it is clear what Gray wants, a club run by fans, with figures who understand the club being put in charge.

Given how the season is going so far, and the trajectory of the club in recent years, who can blame him?
