Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told talkSPORT that Nabil Bentaleb is not in his plan.

Pochettino has suggested that the 21-year-old Algeria international midfielder will be sold before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Argentine boss, though, has stated that Clinton N’Jie is part of his plan for the 2016-17 campaign.

The 23-year-old Cameroon international, who can play as a forward or as a winger, has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2015 when he joined from French club Lyon.

"I think I have been clear that Bentaleb is not in my plan but N'Jie is in my squad and in my plan,” Pochettino told talkSPORT.

N’Jie will be happy to know that he has a future at Tottenham, although the arrival of 22-year-old striker Vincent Janssen from AZ in the summer transfer window means that he will have to fight for his place.

Bentaleb has injury problems last season and lost his place in the Spurs starting lineup.

The Algeria international was able to play in only five Premier League games last season, while during the 2014-15 campaign, the 21-year-old featured in 26 league matches.
