He managed 60 touches in total, with all of those proving to be successful ones.
Defensively he was solid, winning two tackles and four interceptions, the latter of which was the most managed by any player in the game.

He also managed to post eight ball recoveries as well as winning possession in the midfield third on four separate occasions.
His passing was also solid as he managed 36 accurate passes in total and enjoyed an overall passing accuracy of 80% in a display that gave Rafa Benitez plenty to think about.
