Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has suggested to the club’s official website that he is ready to replace Hugo Lloris in the starting lineup.

Lloris, who is the first-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham, has been ruled out of action for around four weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The France international goalkeeper picked up the injury during the Premier League against Everton at the weekend.

The 29-year-old was substituted in the first half of the encounter at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Vorm, who joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Star to be worth £3.5 million, replaced Lloris against the Toffees.

The Netherlands international goalkeeper gave a good account of himself against Everton, denying Gerard Deulofeu in an one-on-one situation just before half time.

The 32-year-old has said that he was not fazed by the situation and has outlined his experience.

“If we’d gone in 2-0 down at half-time that might have been a different story so it was great to make a difference there,” Vorm told Tottenham’s official website.

“These are the moments that I have to be ready for and I don’t get fazed by it with the experience that I have.”

Vorm may be the second-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham, but the Dutchman is a very good player who has proved himself in the Premier League.

During his time at Swansea, the 32-year-old showed what he can do, and he is more than capable of filling in for Lloris for the next four weeks or so.
