Michel Vorm is set to come into the Tottenham Hotspur side.
Spurs were rocked by the news that the France captain will miss about a month of the season after picking up a hamstring problem during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Everton.
Vorm deputised for over an hour that day and reminded Tottenham fans of his quality with a fine save to keep out Gerard Deulofeu in the first half.
Lloris will miss Premier League clashes with Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Stoke City and Sunderland over the next four weeks, unless he recovers sooner than expected.
But although former Arsenal man Robson admits it is a big blow to lose a stopper that talented, the pundit claims the Dutch number two can fill the void.
He told ESPN: "It's a big blow because Hugo Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
"But Michel Vorm is a good replacement. He made an excellent save against Everton and if you need to put someone in then Michel Vorm is a good replacement."
Vorm is a decent keeper but the truth is that he is their number two for a reason.
He is not on Lloris's level - not many are, admittedly - and impressing for an hour at Everton is one thing, but being consistently reliable over the course of a month is a different story and Tottenham fans will be wary of that.
