Barton, a summer arrival at Ibrox, has explained why he hasn't bumped into the Bhoys chief in Glasgow.

Barton was one of Mark Warburton's early summer recruits at Ibrox, with Rodgers having landed the Parkhead hotseat a few weeks earlier in May.

However, despite their two-and-a-bit months in the Scottish city the pair are yet to cross paths. And Barton, speaking to Talksport on Wednesday morning, suggested the reason why.
"No I’ve not managed to run into him yet," Barton told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. "The places he goes and the places I go probably differ, with the tan and the teeth and all that.
"They’re not the type of establishments I rock up at - I’m not having a mid-life crisis!"
The quip, which drew laughter from both Brazil and co-host for the day Kevin Nolan, will no doubt make Barton even less popular in the green half of Glasgow than he was previously.
Earlier this summer, the 33-year-old engaged in a war of words with Bhoys skipper Scott Brown, who he claimed was 'nowhere near his level'.

Brown later joked he thought the pair would get on well, given that Barton had previously admitted to being a Celtic fan.
However, the Liverpudlian, who supported Everton growing up, responded by posting photos on social media of a young Brown wearing a Rangers strip.
