Dummett has started Newcastle's opening two games in the Championship, but Newcastle are bracing themselves for offers for the 24-year-old following their relegation from the Premier League.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is an admirer of Dummett and the club are ready to firm up their interest in Dummett by making a bid for the Welsh international's services.

A number of other Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace and Burnley are monitoring Dummett's situation at St James' Park.

However, West Brom are ready to steal a march on their Premier League rivals by making a move for Dummett as they hope the lure of Premier League football will persuade the left-back to leave his hometown club.

Dummett has made over 75 appearances for Newcastle since breaking into the team as a regular during the 2013/14 season.
