Leeds United drew 1-1 with Fulham at Elland Road thanks to an overhead kick from Chris Wood in added time.
Leeds United's Chris Wood scores their first goal
Leeds left it late to pick up their first Championship point of the new season as they drew 1-1 with Fulham on Tuesday evening.
Chris Wood's 93rd minute overhead kick nicked a draw for the hosts after Tom Cairney had put the Cottagers ahead with just under quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
Leeds United's Robert Green celebrates their goal
It wasn't the most convincing display from the Yorkshire side but their tenacity paid off in the end as they moved out of the Championship relegation zone.
But with Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers both playing tonight, Leeds could well find themselves back in the relegation zone by the weekend.
And despite a positive end to Tuesday's game, Leeds fans were still quick to criticise their goalscorer:
We looked scared to throw a tackle in— Dan (@ItsDanbob) August 16, 2016
Chris wood is still a liability
Everyone has lost their ability to cross a ball (bar the goal)#lufc
Sorry Chris Wood but tonight you've gone down in my estimations. Cupping your ear to the fans when you've played average so far is rich#lufc— Joe (@Joseph_Lowe) August 16, 2016
Don't let anyone think differently, Chris Wood was the worst player on the pitch tonight.— CR (@Charlie_Robb96) August 16, 2016
A Chris Wood 90th min bicycle kick equaliser live. Really makes you question life— Daniel Culliton (@DCulliton96) August 16, 2016
Still, some fans were slightly more upbeat:
Wood is prob the nicest fella in the squad. Very friendly and loves the club. Time to get behind him #lufc— Kevin Power (@kevinpower93) August 16, 2016
Tonight was vital to our confidence and pleased for Wood to get one #lufc— Jack (@jmac212) August 16, 2016
I dunno.....maybe, just maybe Wood might be good, if he gets the service and if we've lost two and drawn one things might be on the up #LUFC— Dave Taylor (@leedsdave1281) August 16, 2016
Pleased for Wood tonight. Really hope that's given him confidence. Looking forward to Saturday now #LUFC— Agate (@Mr_Agate) August 16, 2016

Message for Mr Wood. Score more goals please, from the people that pay your salary. Thank you. #lufc— Andy (@Spitfire_Chap) August 16, 2016
Took his goal well but Wood was very poor tonight. Feel like we've been waiting forever for him to hit form #lufc— Alex Brown (@alex_b94) August 16, 2016
I remember Paynter goading the fans onto the pitch when he scored too so...If Wood didn't miss 4/5 sitters a game he wouldnt get stick #lufc— Charlie Regan (@ChopperRegan) August 16, 2016
