Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has revealed on social networking site Twitter that he wants the team to win all of their home matches in the Championship this season.

Villa won their first home game of the 2016-17 Championship campaign at the weekend.

The Villans got the better of Rotherham United 3-0 at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon to register their first competitive win of the season.

Roberto Di Matteo’s side will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Huddersfield Town at Villa Park.

Winning all of their home games this season, which is quite demanding, would probably see Villa finish in the top six, perhaps even in the top two.

However, it is very unlikely that Di Matteo’s side would be able to pick up maximum points from their remaining games at Villa Park.

Villa, though, do have to make Villa Park a fortress and pick up as many points as they can from their home matches this season.
