Wilder is understood to have made an enquiry to Derby to take Grant on loan for the season with a view to a permanent move.

Grant currently find himself playing second fiddle to Scott Carson at the iPro Stadium and he has yet to feature this season under new manager Nigel Pearson.

The 33-year-old made only 11 appearances last season for Derby following the arrival of former England goalkeeper Scott Carson last summer.

Grant started his senior career with Derby before moving to Sheffield Wednesday in 2007. He then went on to play for Burnley before rejoining Derby in 2013

Derby have the likes of Jonathan Mitchell and Kelle Roos among their ranks as back-up to Carson and Grant and it remains to be seen if they would be willing to let Grant leave.
