Fonte and Austin have been linked with moves away but one report says no contact has been made.

Southampton will not welcome approaches for either their captain Jose Fonte or forward Charlie Austin, according to the Daily Echo, who say that only an 'eye-watering' fee would make them consider selling either player.
Fonte has been recently linked with a move to Manchester United, while Everton have been credited with interest in Austin - which would see him link up with former Saints boss Ronald Koeman after he signed for Southampton only last January.

The Saints seem pretty intent on keeping hold of all of their current players, and are optimistic that Fonte will extend his contract with the club in the near future.
The report also states there has been no contact any other side about a potential transfer for the defender, or indeed for Austin.

It remains to be seen whether there is any movement from a club for either of the two players but judging by the report, Southampton are pretty relaxed about the situation of their current players, and if any club wishes to buy them then it is going to cost that club a substantial sum of money.
Fonte could be in line to return to the Southampton side when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Friday night, following a summer which saw him help Portugal win Euro 2016.
He has been a rock for the Saints at the back for the past few years as well as their captain, so it's of little surprise that he is valued highly, while Austin provides a very good goal threat and any side would be reluctant to let some firepower leave the club.
