The Owls' business has annoyed yet another Premier League club.

A household name at Championship level, from which he has been promoted four times in total - one shy of Kevin Phillips' record - Jones and Wednesday have crossed paths on many an occasion. In fact, only Queens Park Rangers (11) have faced the 31-year-old on more occasions than the Owls (10).
Most Wednesdayites will recall the free-kick he scored against their side in last season's 3-1 defeat at Turf Moor, while those of a certain era may remember him doing likewise for Derby County to decide a 2007 encounter at Pride Park - in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Can the Owls expect such moments of magic on a regular basis? His record of a goal every 12-or-so games overall suggests not.
However, based on the opinions of those he has left behind, they are getting a good player nonetheless...
A strange feeling with Jonah leaving us. An often underrated midfielder, but won't miss his huge turning circle and one-foot #twitterclarets— M. (@MATTYB00SH) 16 August 2016
All the best to David Jones, vastly underrated by those who know little about the value of a good midfielder #twitterclarets— The Bob Lord Voice (@THEBobLordVoice) 16 August 2016
Jones has been crucial in 2 promotions, didn't have many bad games. Can only presume another cm is being lined up #twitterclarets— Simon Finch (@finchy210) 16 August 2016
Gutted about David Jones. Been an incredible servant to the club on and off the pitch and knew what it meant to the fans. #twitterclarets— George Poole (@GeorgePuddle) 16 August 2016
Sad to see David Jones leave for Sheffield Wed, central (literally) to all our success the last few years. Good luck to him! #twitterclarets— John Percival (@JohnWPercival) 16 August 2016
David Jones is a superb footballer. Key in our 2 most successful teams of the last 30 years. Hope we know what we're doing. #twitterclarets— Dr Harronz (@quoonbeatz) 16 August 2016
Can't understand selling Jones. First team regular for past 2-3 seasons? Madness. Brilliant at retaining possession #twitterclarets— Jamie-Lee (@jamiea94) 16 August 2016
Gutted Jones had gone, came under some harsh criticism last year despite holding the midfield together for half a season #twitterclarets— Dal (@KieranDAL_) 15 August 2016
