Indeed, it has been suggested that they should target more additions in that area of the team if they want to challenge for the title this season.
And it seems Warburton may feel the same way as the Daily Mail report he has allowed Senderos to train with his side ahead of a potential deal.
The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Grasshoppers at the end of last season, who he had joined after leaving Aston Villa in January.

It remains to be seen if he can impress Warburton and earn himself a deal at Ibrox this season.
He is not the first to have a trial this season with Oguchi Onyewu also spending time with the club back in July.
