Predicted Leeds line-up to face Fulham: Monk to revert back to 4-2-3-1

Leeds United manager Garry Monk

Here is how we expect Leeds United to line up for their Championship clash with Fulham

To be played on Tuesday 16th August 2016 at 19:45. Venue: Elland Road, Leeds

Odds: Leeds 7/5, Draw 9/4, Fulham 17/10

Leeds United boss Garry Monk will be hoping that his side can put their disappointing start to the season behind them when they face Fulham at Elland Road on Tuesday.

A poor second-half display at the weekend saw the Whites lose their second consecutive game as Birmingham came away from Yorkshire with a 2-1 victory.

And it does not appear that it is going to get any easier for Monk's men as next up they face Slavisa Jokanovic's side, who appear to have already put last season's uninspiring campaign behind them.

After beating recently-relegated Newcastle on the opening day, they defeated Preston at Deepdale, and will be looking to former Leeds striker Matt Smith to help them maintain their perfect record.

The 27-year-old has scored in both of the Cottagers' games thus far, and would surely love to prove a point to those at his former club who were happy to let him go two years ago.

With Smith and Sone Aluko already hinting that they could form a very exciting partnership, Monk could look to offer his shaky defence some extra support by bringing Toumani Diagouraga back into the team to play alongside Ronaldo Vieira.

Meanwhile, Chris Wood could well find himself on the bench for the game after failing to impress in either league clash so far, with either Kemar Roofe or Marcus Antonsson leading the line.

And although Pablo Hernandez appears to have the kind of quality that Leeds need going forward, it was clear that he was tiring as the Birmingham game went on, and with Alex Mowatt looking so impressive at times against the Blues, it is possible Monk will also put the Spaniard on the bench initially.
