Norwich City defender Ivo Pinto has underlined his determination to help the Canaries get back to the Premier League as soon as possible, telling Norwich City TV that promotion is his and his teammates sole focus this season.

Norwich drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, side also tipped to be in and around the promotion places come the end of the season.

Carlos Carvalhal's side narrowly missed out on promotion last season, losing to Hull City in the playoff final by a single goal, struck imperiously by Tigers midfielder Mohamed Diame.

And despite a stalemate at Carrow Road against the Owls, the result leaves Norwich in fourth place after two matches, and Pinto has reaffirmed his determination to get Norwich back into the top flight.

"With the quality that we have in our team, in front of our supporters, and not forgetting the last game we played I think we all expected to win, but this is football.

"When you look at our team, our squad of players that we have in the front of us, we have very good players, we showed that in the first game of the season, this one not that much, but we have that."

"The past is the past, and I’ve already spoken about it, now I’m focusing on going again to the Premier League, to take this club where it deserves to be.

"That’s my focus, that’s our focus, we are all thinking about it, we are decent this season, we want to go again straight away, and we want to show that in the end."
