Jonathan Woodgate predicted on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 10:30am, August 14, 2016) that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The former Tottenham defender has also praised Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, claiming that he is outstanding.

“I think they will be up again in the Champions League,” said Woodgate on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 10:30am, August 14, 2016).

“I think they have just tweaked the squad with Janssen and Wanyama. They will be definitely in the top four. I think Pochettino is an outstanding coach.”

Tottenham finished third in the Premier League table last season and were in the race for the title until the final weeks of the campaign.

The North London outfit, who will feature in the Champions League this season, will be aiming for a similar league finish this campaign.

It will not be easy for Spurs to clinch a Champions League place again, though. There will be strong competition from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and perhaps even West Ham United and Everton.

Spurs’ start to the 2016-17 Premier League campaign was less than ideal, as they could only manage a 1-1 draw with Everton away from home at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham will return to action next weekend when they take on Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane in the league.
